Shri Eknath Shindea prominent figure in Maharashtra politics, has had a distinguished career spanning several decades. Born in Satara district, his family relocated to Thane during his childhood, laying the foundation for his deep-rooted connection to the region. His political journey began as the Shakha Pramukh (branch chief) in Thane in 1984, marking the start of his grassroots involvement.
Over the years, Shinde's influence grew steadily. He was elected twice to the Thane Municipal Corporation, first in 1997 and then again in 2002, reflecting his popularity and local support. His leadership skills were further recognized when he served as the leader of the opposition for a brief period in 2014.
